I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1971, and music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. At the age of five, I picked up the drums, and later, I began exploring the piano.

By the time I was thirteen, I was already playing in a rock band with musicians much older than me. Those years gave me my first real taste of performing and connecting through sound.


In the early ’90s, I moved to Miami. That city became my playground and my foundation—I started DJing at legendary South Beach venues like The Living Room, Opium, and Prive.

It was an exciting time that laid the groundwork for what would soon become my career in electronic music.

Becoming a Producer

My production journey truly began in 1996, but things took off in the early 2000s. In 2003, under the alias Casa Flava. Together with Olivier Berge, we released “De Moma De”, which became a global hit and even entered the UK Top 40 Dance Chart. That track really put my name on the map.



Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to crafting music that is emotional, melodic, and deeply human. I’ve been blessed to release more than 700 originals and remixes on iconic labels like Global Underground, Armada, Spinnin’, Black Hole, Unreleased Digital, Bonzai Progressive, and, of course, my own label, Outta Limits.

These projects allowed me to go deeper than just singles or club tracks. Some of my music has even found its way into unexpected places—like Porsche commercials and episodes of CSI: Miami. Seeing my work connect with audiences in completely different contexts has been very rewarding.

Awakening the World


In 2011, I launched my Awakening podcast. The idea was simple: to share my vision of deep, quality progressive and melodic house with listeners all around the world. It’s still running today, and it remains one of my favorite ways to connect with fans who crave a true journey in sound.


What Drives Me

When people ask about highlights from my career, I always say the same thing: the biggest highlight is that I get to do what I love every single day. Music has taken me across the globe, introduced me to incredible singers and producers, and allowed me to touch people with sound.


I’ve gone through many phases with gear—starting out with hardware synths and racks, moving into purely software-driven setups, and now working with a balance that feels right. My current studio is streamlined but powerful, with Cubase Pro, a MOOG SUB37, KORG R3, Steinberg tools, and some of the best VSTs available.
































Vocals play a big role in my music. I’ve always loved blending unique voices—Bulgarian, Indian, Arabic, world folk—with electronic production. Collaborations like the one with Sula Mae on “Fill Me Up” show how a unique vocal can transform a track into something truly special.

Of course, I’m also known for my techno alias Vincent VanDamm, and while Casa Flava was an important chapter of my story, I’ve moved on to focus on my solo journey as Stan Kolev.




Closing Thoughts on Chapter One

From picking up drumsticks as a child in Sofia, to DJing in Miami clubs, to releasing albums and singles that travel far beyond the dancefloor—my journey has always been about evolution, passion, and authenticity. This is just the beginning of the story.
